WEDNESDAY Lunch Orders

You are able to order your child’s lunch on Wednesday. The school has engaged an external provider, LunchBoxHub to provide the lunches for students who wish to place an order.

There is an extensive menu to choose from and caters to a range of dietary needs.

Orders can be placed in advance, but must be placed by 8.30am WEDNESDAY morning for same day delivery.

 

Eating at School Information

Recess:10.45 – 11.10am

Lunch: 1.10 – 1.50pm (includes a supervised 15 minute lunch eating time for all students)

  • Parents and carers are asked to provide their children with healthy choices for recess and lunch.
  • Water bottles used throughout the day are stored in the classroom. Juice and sweetened drinks are not appropriate at school.

Nut Aware – Bassendean Primary School is an Allergy Aware school and as such is Nut Aware to ensure we are providing a safe and nurturing environment for all children and requests your cooperation by:

  • Not sending nuts and nut products to school with your child, including Nutella, Peanut Butter, nut based confectionary bars, muesli bars and biscuits;
  • Wiping your child’s hands and face with a damp cloth and brushing their teeth if they have eaten these products before school;
  • Checking with your child’s class teacher prior to sending food items to share with other children to celebrate a birthday or special occasions.
  • Parents of children with food anaphylaxis are asked to bring a small number of cupcakes which can be stored in the freezer so their child is catered for in the event of birthdays.
