Science Lab Update

During Term 4 2018 we were notified the school’s submission for a specialist science laboratory was successful.

Planning by the Department of Education is underway and just this week (week 4 Term 3) we received Demolition Plans and the New Floor Plan.

To accompany this new floor plan we have a budget to purchase furniture and some science equipment. We have been advised that we can expect works to commence in Term 4 2019.

Thank you to those who nominated to join the Bassendean Primary School Board as a parent representative. Please read more about each of the nominees before completing your ballot paper online via the school survey link. Michael Bertrand – I am a parent of a Pre-Primary student at Bassendean Primary School. I am an ICT professional with the Department of Education and am passionate about public service as well as community engagement and contribution.

Steve Berrick – I am a parent of two children at Bassendean Primary School in Years 2 and 4. I have just completed my first tenure on the Board, including two years as Board Chair and am keen to continue. I am an enthusiastic participant in school activities.

 

 

On Thursday 11 April 2019, the school will be closing at 11.45am to allow for Parent-Teacher meetings. Appointment booking sheets are located on the notice board in the old admin area (near the Uniform Shop) to enable parents to select meeting times.

Early closure note home 2019

As part of the Physical Education program, all students from Pre-Primary to Year 6 will be participating in a three week Bike Education program during their normal phys ed lesson. The sessions will be held in weeks 8-10 of Term 1. Click on the relevent link below to find out more information. Forms will be sent home with students this week.
